Rosalie Fleurie
Ceramics, serial floral action, collaboration with August Klintberg and Marc Sardi, 2024.Florist Marc Sardi composes a weekly arrangement of botanical matter in a stoneware vase by Montreal potter Rosalie Namer (1925-2006). Sardi takes inspiration from a dossier of archival materials abour Namer’s life and work, while also working with seasonal and local flowers and plants. Rosalie Fleurie is part of a series of artistic and art historiographic gestures created by Klintberg and Nemer to activate Rosalie Namer’s oeuvre, and premièred at the Ceramics Friends/Façonner l’Amitié ceramics biennale at the McClure Gallery in Westmount, Montreal.
